Empowering Madison County to Protect Our Elders from Abuse and Neglect

The most vulnerable among us need our care and support.

When you can no longer care for yourself, who will protect you?

You care for your loved ones, but what about those with no one to care for them? Vulnerable populations like the elderly often face a silent threat — they are left in positions where they can be neglected, exploited, or intentionally harmed.

Elder abuse isn’t just a statistic; it’s a hidden crisis that happens behind closed doors, leaving our seniors isolated and suffering. As a community, we cannot allow our most vulnerable members to be mistreated. But how can you help if you don’t even know the warning signs?

The Council for Elder Maltreatment Prevention (CEMP) is dedicated to raising awareness, providing resources, and empowering individuals like you to step in and make a difference. Whether it’s through education, advocacy, or direct intervention, we offer the tools needed to protect those who may not have anyone to protect them.

Together, we can ensure that every elder lives with the dignity, respect, and care they deserve.

Expert Guidance and Resources

CEMP offers accessible tools, resources, and expert guidance to help individuals, caregivers, and professionals recognize the signs of elder abuse and take proactive steps to prevent it.

WE PROVIDE:

A Voice for the Voiceless

Many elderly individuals suffer in silence, without advocates or loved ones to intervene. CEMP serves as a voice for these vulnerable populations by raising awareness and influencing policies to improve elder protection at both local and national levels.

Community-Driven Solutions

We believe that strong communities are the foundation of elder care. By partnering with local organizations, caregivers, and volunteers, we foster community-driven solutions that not only prevent elder maltreatment but also enhance the overall quality of life for seniors.

Proactive Prevention,
Not Just Response

While many organizations focus on responding to cases of abuse after they occur, CEMP emphasizes proactive prevention. We are dedicated to addressing the root causes of maltreatment, educating caregivers and professionals to recognize early warning signs, and creating safer environments for our elders.

Empowerment Through Advocacy

We empower individuals and communities to become advocates for the elderly. Whether you’re a family member, a healthcare professional, or a concerned citizen, we provide you with the tools and support needed to protect seniors from harm and ensure their rights are upheld.
